Core Responsibilities
As a Lead Engineer, you will
- Provide Technical Leadership Guide the team in designing, building, and implementing APIs for our IAM platform, ensuring best practices and high-quality outcomes.
- Drive Innovation Continuously explore and implement improvements and automation to enhance system efficiency and security.
- Enable Self-Service Solutions Lead the design and development of user-friendly, scalable self-service tools.
- Oversee Complex Support Challenges Serve as the technical escalation point for 3rd-level support, applying a methodical approach to resolve sophisticated challenges.
- Enhance Security Posture Lead efforts to ensure our IAM solutions remain secure and robust in an ever-evolving landscape.
- Mentor and Develop Talent Foster the professional growth of team members by sharing knowledge, coaching, and encouraging continuous learning.
- Collaborate Across Teams Act as a bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to align on goals and deliver impactful results.

We support LEGO Group colleagues with password-less sign-in, adaptive multifactor authentication, and privileged account management, including custom-built APIs for developers. We are looking for an experienced candidate, ideally with a proven track record of leading a team responsible for an organization’s core foundational identity solutions.
We would also consider strong senior engineering talent looking to take their next step, with the ambition to drive the future of these technologies.
The role has the responsibility as the Product Owner for The LEGO Group’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies. This involves advocating for your team and your Product, driving collaboration across the wider Colleague Enablement and Digital Technology landscape.
It is expected that you would bring to the role
- A solid understanding and experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID, and associated technologies
- Experience designing and building APIs.
- Proficiency in modern authentication methods.
- Strong inter-personal skills to take on a technical mentoring role at the helm of a strong established team and be a great teammate who enjoys incorporating fun into everyday work.
- Strong collaboration skills, able to understand and adapt to stakeholder needs.
- Experience liaising with vendors to drive product roadmap development in support of an organization’s goals
- Experience in agile development and delivery in a Product model.
