The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Senior Engineer to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in:
•Administration and configuration of Azure cloud services via IaaC
•Administrating Linux systems
•Database administration & optimisation (both SQL and noSQL)
•Monitoring, event and incident management
•Setting up security components such us FW, Devender, vulnerability scanning
This role combines the principles of DevOps, security (DevSecOps), and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our infrastructure and applications. Our DevOps work in a high performing team, and we are looking for a strong team player to step into the team and contribute from an early stage alongside the other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management:
•Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure infrastructure on Microsoft Azure (AKS experience is advantage).
•Maintain and optimize Linux-based systems ensuring high availability and performance.
DevSecOps Practices:
•Integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipelines.
•Automate security checks and compliance validations within the development lifecycle.
Site Reliability Engineering:
•Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system reliability.
•Develop and maintain SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets to guide reliability efforts.
•Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Database Administration:
•Manage and optimize databases (MariaDB and Elastic experience is advantage) ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.
•Implement automation of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
Automation and Tooling:
•Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (bicep & puppet experience is advantage)
•Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Collaboration and Communication:
•Work closely with development, QA, and security teams to streamline workflows and improve product quality.
•Document processes, configurations, and system architectures for team reference.
Required qualifications:
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience is also acceptable.
Experience:
•Minimum of 7 years in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role with a focus on security (DevSecOps).
•Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud infrastructure management.
•Good knowledge in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
•Hands-on experience with database administration.
•Proven experience with monitoring tools & event management systems.
Skills:
•Expertise in scripting and automation using languages such as Ruby, Python, Bicep, Bash, or PowerShell.
•Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
•Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
•Strong understanding of networking, security best practices, and compliance standards.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during incidents.
•Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
•Proven team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
•Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams.
