As the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Process Owner, you will be at the forefront of defining, implementing, and optimizing IAM processes across our organization. Your role will involve creating, standardizing, and managing identity management processes, policies, and procedures to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient handling of user identities and access rights.
You will collaborate closely with security, HR, IT, IAM Enterprise Architects, and business teams to ensure seamless onboarding, offboarding, role management, and access governance processes. Your efforts will ensure that all identity-related activities align with KMD Security Rules, security standards, and business requirements.
As the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Process Owner, you will have a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient handling of user identities and access rights.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Process Design & Optimization: Define and document IAM-related processes, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, access reviews, and role-based access controls (RBAC). Continuously analyze IAM processes for optimization opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce security risks.
- IAM Process Governance: Establish and enforce IAM policies, standards, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory and audit requirements (e.g., GDPR, NIS2, DORA). Develop a governance framework to ensure consistent implementation of IAM processes across the organization.
- Access Management: Manage the identity lifecycle for users, contractors, and service accounts, ensuring that access is granted based on least privilege and need-to-know principles. Oversee role mining, role engineering, and access review processes to maintain clean and up-to-date access models.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with HR, IT, and business units to align IAM processes with user management, organizational changes, and business needs. Act as the primary point of contact for IAM process issues, coordinating resolution efforts across relevant teams.
- Process Documentation & Training: Create and maintain IAM process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides, and process flow diagrams. Conduct training sessions for relevant stakeholders to ensure proper understanding and adherence to IAM processes.
- IAM Metrics & Reporting: Develop KPIs and performance metrics for IAM processes, regularly reporting on status, compliance, and areas for improvement. Use metrics to identify bottlenecks, security gaps, and opportunities for enhancing IAM process effectiveness.
- Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure IAM processes support compliance with security policies and external regulations. Partner with audit teams to address any process gaps identified during internal and external audits.
These responsibilities will enable you to drive impactful changes, enhance security, and ensure the efficient management of identities and access rights within the organization.
