Do you want to become a frontrunner in the green revolution, working to expand renewable energy globally? Are you enthusiastic about data acquisition on utility-scale plants for optimizing ongoing development and maintenance? Do you bring expertise in SCADA and system interfaces to a great team? If so, you are the one we are looking for!
The Role
As a SCADA Specialist, you will have the vital role of System Owner for legacy SCADA systems and coordinate the technical tasks of implementing new consolidated systems for data acquisition and control of all core technologies of the business. Reporting to the Head of OT, you will collaborate with our Asset Management and IT infrastructure departments to enable efficient design, implementation, and operation of the various platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical assessment and planning of the implementation of systems, both legacy and construction projects, including hosting, interfaces, maintenance, and security, in cooperation with IT Operations and the Data & Analytics department.
- Ensure technical compliance with regulatory requirements and investor demands for SCADA platforms.
- Coordinate and execute configuration, support, and patches on various systems with the supplier, external resources, and internal superusers.
- Maintain documentation of infrastructure and SOPs for engineers, and plan and test incident response and emergency recovery of critical systems.
- Analyze and address incidents and issues, implementing relevant changes to improve system resilience.
- Educate and promote awareness among users to ensure effective utilization of applications.
- Provide technical support during audits.
About You
You have a professional background in engineering, IT, or automation, preferably having worked with energy systems or process plants. We imagine you have been working in SCADA engineering, building automation, or related fields for 2-4 years, and you have hands-on expertise with PLCs, RTUs, SCADA software, or similar systems. You also bring:
- Proficiency within the OSI model and experience troubleshooting network issues using tools like Wireshark or similar software.
- Experience with implementing and troubleshooting industry protocols such as IEC61850, IEC60870, Modbus, and OPC UA. Experience with API calls for data extraction is preferred.
- Basic data processing skills in Python or similar.
- Proven stakeholder management skills.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity and frameworks such as IEC62443 is an advantage.
- Full professional proficiency in English; proficiency in Danish or German is a plus.
As you will be the driving force for the implementation and integrity of our critical systems, you must have a holistic mindset with the ability to acquire a deep understanding of systems and processes when needed. You are adept at communicating complex issues and ideas to diverse audiences and are patient and persistent in achieving long-term goals.
