We are seeking a passionate Cyber Security Analyst to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma Cyber Security team, you will play a crucial role in managing cyber incidents, monitoring logs, and conducting threat-hunting activities within our Security Operations Center (SOC). Moreover, you will also take part in decision-making processes. Working closely with external partners and supported by a global team, you can expect a steep learning curve and excellent development opportunities. You will be joining the Global Cyber Security team consisting of 5 colleagues with Christian Thorborg Pedersen as Product Owner, and you will report directly to Jakob Monajemzadeh Thrane as People Leader. You will be based in our headquarters in Hellerup.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Manage and respond to cyber security incidents in collaboration with internal and external SOC partners.
- Conduct threat hunting and analysis to identify vulnerabilities, custom detections and ideas for hardening configurations.
- Support the integration and optimization of Microsoft Defender solutions aligned with our 'best of suite' security strategy.
- Develop and implement security protocols and contribute to continuous improvement of incident response processes.
- Collaborate on security advisory and partnership tasks, offering insights and guidance to business-facing product teams.
- Participate in strategic decisions affecting the direction of our cybersecurity practices and team initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
You hold a relevant academic degree and +3 years of experience within cyber security incident management, monitoring, and threat hunting.
Furthermore, you have:
- Experience working with Microsoft Defender and Azure security solutions.
- Ability to independently drive initiatives to improve security posture and processes.
- Strong analytical skills for investigating incidents and conducting proactive threat analysis.
- Familiarity with SOC operations and collaborative incident response procedures.
- A desire to work with cross-functional teams and build security partnerships across the business.
