What’s the role about?
Novo Nordisk, a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Facing Information Security Advisor. This senior role is crucial for providing strategic direction and ensuring the implementation of robust Information Protection security measures across the organization.
We want you to collaborate with compliance and policy stakeholders, liaise with security partners, and offer expert guidance to Lines of Business (LoB) on secure information handling.
You are key responsibilities are to:
- Strategic Direction for Information Protection Security: Develop and lead the implementation of strategies to ensure comprehensive information protection across the organization
- Act as the primary point of contact with security partners and Lines of Business to identify and address needs and opportunities for information protection and classification
- Provide expert-level advice to LoB on best practices for securely storing, collaborating, and exchanging sensitive information
- Lead and assist in incident response efforts for information leakage, working in collaboration with Security Operations, Internal Audit, HR, Legal, Compliance, and other relevant departments to mitigate risks and address vulnerabilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive information protection reports to LoB, ensuring they are well-informed about the security posture, potential risks, and ongoing protection measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in information security, with a focus on information protection and advisory roles, preferably within a large, global organization
- In-depth understanding of information protection strategies, compliance requirements, and secure information handling practices
- Superior communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and provide clear, actionable advice. Strong leadership and project management capabilities

Global Information Security Advisory (GISA) is an integral part of the Global Information Security organisation and is based out of DD&IT in Denmark. GISA is a global organisation with team members situated in Denmark, USA, and India. The GISA department consists of experts across diverse information security domains and strong business knowledge. We collaborate closely with businesses partners throughout the value chain, providing guidance and counsel to ensure the security of Novo Nordisk.
